The Infra-Red Control Unit converts a pulsed output from a monitored photo optic device to a normally open, non-monitored input. This allows you to use monitored photo optic devices on older gate openers that were created before 2010. In addition, the MIRCU-02 from Miller Edge can add another secondary entrapment device if only one pulsed input exists. If power is lost, a failsafe on the MIRCU reports issues to the opener.
